I can honestly say I earned my degree, and I emphasize EARNED
because I did not hire any of the variety of dissertation services found on the
internet. While there is not an issue
with the many excellent Dissertation Mentors/Coaches who provide seminars,
workshops, and one on one guidance, there can be an issue with dissertation services
that do either part, or in some cases most or all the dissertation work. Hiring
someone to do dissertation work, is considered by most universities, a violation of their Academic
Integrity Policies – in other words, its cheating and dishonest, and those who’ve
used these services take a big risk of having their degrees revoked in the
future when a potential employer, or colleague, discovers the violation.
I had a personal experience attending a so called one day dissertation
workshop, and at the end of the day nothing new was learned other than the
workshop transitioned into a high dollar sales pitch for services – of course (sarcasm) being a Veteran, I was offered
a $3000 discount off the regular $12,000 fee.
This was a disappointing lesson learned and what bothered me more was
that about half of the participants were eager to sign up for the $12,000 service
(payment plans available).
For those entering or already in the dissertation phase, my long-winded
points are to not pay for dissertation services and take advantage of the lessons
learned and guidance from someone who has completed the process can provide. After
years of service in the Army and years in business operations, my personal
motivation for transitioning to teaching was to share my business, management,
and leadership experiences. Completing my doctorate has prompted me to expand sharing
my experience and knowledge related to the dissertation process.
Earning a doctorate degree is one of the most Significant Achievements
of a lifetime, is a process that takes years to accomplish, and often more
years than it should. I plan to provide what I hope will be time and money saving
guidance, and an alternative to the difficulties and frustrations that are so often
associated with earning a doctorate degree.
